Hinton Community School District Foundation Board representatives attended the Hinton Community School District Board meeting on Monday evening. During the meeting they gave the following report to the School
Board:
The Hinton Community Schoold District Foundation has been active for a little over a year. Through fundraising events such as the book garage sale, the Taste of Hinton event and the All School Reunion we raised over $4,500. We have also sold tiles for a donor wall which will be located just inside the front door of the new school.We have received pledges for tiles of just over $30,000. As we collect those pledges we will be periodically granting funds to the school.
We are pleased to announce the availability of the following funds to support the Hinton Community School
District:
Designated for Library $ 9,500
Designated for Technology 2,500
Designated for Smartboard 3,000
Designated for Playground 2,500
Designated for Butterfly Garden 200
Undesignated 8,000
Total $25,700
We continue to work to raise funds for the future of the Hinton Community School District. We will be selling tiles for the donor wall through the end of the year. Interested families or businesses can have their names included in the donor wall for as little as $250. More information can be found at our website www.hintonfoundation.org
Our mission remains "To generate resources to provide the students of Hinton Community School with the best opportunities for learning and becoming successful adults."
